149 Twisted Ladders is a large-format installation made with 149 waxed thread “ladders” arranged around the space of the dome of the Centre for Research, Innovation and Development of the Arts in Monterrey, Mexico.
It is a work that uses the archetype of the stairs as a connector between the up and down (the physical and the metaphysical). In the same way, the materiality of each piece that conforms the installation talks about the difficulty, but not the impossibility of establishing that connection.
