Project
"Via-crusis" is a series of photographs and videos taken in the small town of Labranzagrande, in Boyacá, Colombia. It is an audiovisual work carried out during the Holy Week of 2023.
Labranzagrande is a town that was important during colonial times, especially during the XVIII and XIX centuries, being an important passage between the mountainous region of the Andes and the Colombian plains; however, during the second half of the XX century, the Colombian government built the access road to the plains using a different route.
The town has been forgotten, although colonial vestiges can still be seen in its liturgical traditions full of mysticism and palpable energy.
